2005 SOLO CONTEST WINNER

Jeremy Jayubo

Jeremy Jayubo is a senior at North Medford High School where he is a member of the NMHS Wind Ensemble. He has performed in the Medford Jazz Jubilee All-Star Band, the Western International Band Clinic Honor Bands in Seattle, and he has been one of the top three competitors in the Oregon State Solo Competition for the past two years. This year, he won the Southern Oregon District Solo Competition on baritone saxophone. In addition, he received the Outstanding Soloist Award at the World of Music Festival in San Jose, California, in 2003. Jeremy is currently studying saxophone with Rhett Bender, Associate Professor of Music at Southern Oregon University.
