CONCERT REPERTOIRE

The Rogue Valley Symphonic Band's repertoire contains a wide variety of styles and difficulty levels. While the band concentrates on some of the more challenging works in wind ensemble literature, there must always be some room for "light" music, pieces that entertain or maybe just get the toes tapping. One of the reasons behind a limited membership and screening process for new members is to staff the ensemble with musicians who are capable of handling challenges that are beyond the abilities of many "open to all comers" community bands. This is certainly not to "put down" any such groups. They definitely have their place in the community music scene and, in fact, many RVSB members play in one or more of these groups in addition to the RVSB.
